NOTICE FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF IKARIA
The Municipal Authority of Ikaria wants to promptly inform the visitors of our island, that at present there is not available camping installation (or temporary residence permit space) in Ikaria, while according to the legislation the free camping is prohibited.
The Municipality of Ikaria feels obliged to defend the right of access to the beach and its use for all, and to protect the environment of our island.
This position represents the whole local community and we believe that friends visitors will respect it. The selection of free camping from a place of visitors, does not deprive the right of access-use of beaches for all other guests and residents of the island.
