Pezi village is of great interest, not only for the incredibly rich natural beauty that shows the immense forests, but also for two dams built there, used for irrigating surrounding farms. In the village square stands the church Agioi Apostoloi, with two high trees out front.
There is a small dam near the village Laggada. Ikaria’s big dam located a few kilometres away is fed by the Pezi river and holds a usable volume of 1,000,000 cubic metres.
Tip! Pezi is a proclaimed traditional village where building codes are strict to preserve the style of architecture typical of the area.
