Kampos is known for Oinoe, its ancient Ikarian capital, and its archaelogical site. The large homonymous, all-sand beach is also very famous among tourists. It is organised with umbrellas and sunbeds.
Tip! It is very popular among families with young children. But frequent strong sea currents can make swimming difficult. To alert bathers to the danger special markers are sometimes placed in sea to define the bathing area. Don't forget to take your rackets and your ball for beach volley!
